The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday cancelled the Matriculation (Class 10) state board examinations and decided to promote 1,16,954 lakh students to Plus one.
The decision to promote class 10 students has been taken due to the rising Covid-19 cases in the state. The decision to cancel the HPBOSE 10th Board exam and promote students to next class was taken on May 5. The students of Class 10 will be promoted on the basis of marks of internal and pre-board examinations of the first and second term.
All the students would be promoted to Class 11 by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) as per the norms suggested by CBSE.
The HPBOSE has also decided postponed the Class 12 board exams and annual examination of colleges until further orders. As per the state education board reports, over 1,00982 Plus two students were expected to appear in the final year examination. Apart from HPBOSE 12th students, nearly 1.5 lakh college students were also eagerly waiting for the state government decision holding their annual examinations.
